Last weekend saw Japan’s hottest day of the year so far with temperatures soaring as high at 38 degrees Celsius (around 100 Fahrenheit) in Toyama City on Saturday. 11 people died and a further 1,900 were hospitalized across the country owing to the extreme heat. Today we’re offering some tips for keeping cool and staying safe in the summer heat.
